Obituary of Arnold E. Ruffner

Smethport - Arnold E. "Boots" Ruffner, 79, of Cyclone, died Friday (August 25, 2017) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. He was born May 18, 1938 in Rimersburg, a son of Arnold and Sara Space Ruffner. Mr. Ruffner was a graduate of Rimersburg High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He worked in the local oil fields for many years. He was a devoted member of the Valley Worship Center of Farmers Valley. He is survived by: one son: Brandon (Michele Best) Ruffner of Cyclone, PA two step daughters: Melissa Billings of Wellsville, NY and Theressa Cody of Belmont, NY grandchildren: Evan, Kaylin and Mason Ruffner; Roy and Brooke Billings, Jesse Nix, and Bridget Cody one great granddaughter: Aria Nix one sister: JoAnn Ruffner of Rimersburg, PA one nephew: Chris Ruffner of Rimersburg, PA He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-6 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held at 6 PM with the Rev. David Eastman, Pastor of the Valley Worship Center, officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Valley Worship Center of Farmers Valley, PA.
