Obituary of John D. Lacney

Port Allegany - John David Lacney, age 70, of Bradford, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord, December 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born September 2,1947 in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Andrew Lacney and Barbara (Hansen) Lacney. John graduated from Austin Area High School, class of 1965. He attended Rochester Business Institute and later and went on to serve in the U.S. Army stationed in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to his wife Kim in South Korea. John was employed by Dresser Manufacturing in Bradford for 38 years as a Robotics Machine Operator, retiring in 2009. John had a deep religious faith and enjoyed sending daily email devotions to family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and joking with family. He especially loved Christmas. He enjoyed cooking shows and was an excellent baker. He will be dearly missed. Surviving is his wife, Kim Lacney; along with his daughter Susan Lacney of Raleigh, North Carolina and son-in-law Tobias Fricke; sisters, Linda Lacney Bennett of Keating Summit, Pennsylvania and Carolyn Mountain of Olean, New York and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts, Carolyn Harrier and Martha Brooks. Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home at 105 N. Main Street, Port Allegany, PA with pastor Ronald Korzeniowski, of Abundant Life Assembly of God officiating.
