Obituary of Carolyn E. O'Donnell

Smethport - Carolyn E. O'Donnell, 69, of Smethport, passed away on Friday (January 19, 2018) in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born May 31, 1948 in Irondequoit, NY, a daughter of John and Josephine Fagen Berry. On July 13, 1968, in Rochester, NY, she married Gary W. O'Donnell, who survives. Mrs. O'Donnell was a graduate of Irondequoit High School and had attended Geneseo College in Geneseo, NY. Carolyn and Gary moved to the area after retiring, and she enjoyed her life with her family and friends in the Marvindale and Smethport community. Carolyn was a former secretary for the Livonia Sportsmen's Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: Four daughters: Heather (Jon) Peterson of Smethport, Lori O'Donnell of Myrtle Beach, SC, Suzanne (Ian) Scott of England, and Kristin (Bill) Mering of Honeoye Falls, NY. Grandchildren: Daniel, Adam, Lydia, Noah, Samuel, Kylie, Madeline, Thomas and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no visitation. A service will be held with the family at a later date. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
