Obituary of Mary E. McEnteer

Port Allegany - Mary E. McEnteer, 92, of, Port Allegany, passed away Saturday (February 24, 2018) at her in Port Allegany. She was born Dec 18, 1925 in Bolivar, NY, a daughter of Harland and Belle Childs Spencer. On November 11, 1955 in Bolivar, NY, she married William T. McEnteer, who died March 18, 2014. Mrs. McEnteer was a 1943 graduate of Bolivar High School and attended Cayuga College Cadet Nursing Program. Mrs. McEnteer was a Nurse, employed by Port Allegany Hospital. She also did private duty nursing and had worked for Sena Kean Manor in Smethport. She was a founding member of PAAS, President of the Port Hospital Board, National Honor Society member, a member of the Catholic Craft Ladies responsible for the Church Bazaar and she donated so many quilts for various organizations for fund raisers. She is survived by Two daughters: Patricia (Michael) Maynard and Cheryl Brown both of Port Allegany, PA, Seven Grandchildren: Tim (Jacque) Brown, Kevin (Anissa) Brown, Heather Kio, Jennifer (Jerry) Ballinger, Christian (Sue) Stevenson, Derek (Summer) Maynard, and Natalie Maynard Twelve great-grandchildren One sister Patricia Spencer in Santa Fe NM She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Marilyn "Smooch" McEnteer in 2016 and a grandson Sean Brown in 2005 Visitation will be held on Saturday March 17, 2018 from 9 A.M. To 11 A.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany, PA where funeral service will follow att 11:00 am with the Rev. Charles Schmitt officiating.
