Obituary of Donald George Sprengle

Smethport - Donald George Sprengle, 75, of Hazel Hurst, PA, died Tuesday (February 27, 2018) in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY. He was born Sept. 29, 1942 in Williamstown, NJ, a son of Wilson Alexander and Elizabeth Ann Giberson. On Dec. 6, 1969, he married Doris Bernadette Connor, who survives. Mr. Sprengle served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He worked as the maintenance manager for Wecom, Inc. of Glassboro, NJ for 27 years. He was an avid card player and was able to fix/repair anything. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: David Sprengle of Mt. Jewett, PA two sisters: Ruthann Bodycott and Betsy Voge He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, at 11:00 AM, in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev. Joann Piatko, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion; Bucktail Post#138 of Smethport.
