Obituary of Wade L. Elliott

Port Allegany - Wade L. Elliott, 61, of Port Allegany, passed away Saturday (April 14, 2018) in the Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. He was born April 7, 1957 in Port Allegany, a son of Robert and Norma Jean VanGorder Elliott. On November 25, 2011 in Port Allegany, PA, he married Laura Hammond, who survives. Mr. Elliott was a 1975 graduate of Port Allegany High School and was employed by the Port Allegany Borough for 40 years before retiring as a Supervisor in 2014. Wade was a member of the Sons of the American Legion # of Port Allegany. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, NASCAR and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Wade especially enjoyed campfires with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: His mother, Norma Jean Elliott of Liberty, PA Three daughters: Virginia (Duane, Jr.) Miller of Smethport, Angela Elliott of North Carolina, and Debra Hammond of Shinglehouse Seven grandchildren: Jayden, Camden, Jasmine, William, Izik, Nikhitta and Robert "RJ" Two brothers: Clark Elliott of Port Allegany and Wesley Elliott of Missouri One sister: Dawn (Andy) Litzelman of Liberty, PA In addition to his father, Wade was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Elliott. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4-5PM at the Veterans Memorial Home, Route 155 South, Port Allegany with a memorial service to follow at 5PM with the Rev Randall Headley, officiating. A dinner will follow. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, the Port Allegany Ambulance Service, or a charity of the donor's choice.
