Obituary of Deborah Irene Vossler

Smethport-Deborah I. Vossler (formerly Bucher), 62, of 69 Prospect Hill, Smethport, PA, passed away peacefully May 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born August 20, 1955 in Bradford, PA she was the daughter of Sandra (Shelby) Atchison of Tavares, FL.

On October 10, 2009 she married Paul A. Vossler in St. Elizabeth church, who survives. She was a 1974 graduate of Bradford High School.

She had been employed as an Accounting Assistant for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 36 years, retiring in 2011.

She was a member of AFL-CIO, Local 2116 union where she served as a recording secretary and treasurer before retiring. She was a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority Eta Phi Chapter. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Smethport. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family. She loved to go shopping, travel and go to the beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children; a daughter Chrystal (Elliot) Lafferty of Smethport and a son Cory (Lindsay) Bucher of Bradford, two stepdaughters; Tiffany Vossler of Wellsville and Thea Vossler of Bradford, two sisters; Terrie (Mike) Fronckowiak of Connersville, IN and Tammy (Tony) Scalfaro of Wilmington, NC, one brother Gregory Westlake and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, from 6-8 PM in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, with Rev. Vince P. Cieslewicz and Rev. Brian Vossler as Celebrants. Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.
