Obituary of William H. Sobczak

Smethport - William H. Sobczak, 90, of Smethport, died Thursday (November 21, 2013) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. He was born Jan 27, 1923 in Arkwright, NY, a son of Stanislaw and Pauline Trzebna Sobczak. On Oct. 30, 1950 in Dunkirk, NY, he married Ruth E. Parker, who survives. Mr. Sobczak served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by U.S. Steel in Dunkirk, NY. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two daughters: Beverly A. Sobczak of East Aurora, NY and Paula R. (Matthew) Wilson of Smethport, PA two sons: Michael D. (Deb) Sobczak of Camden, SC and Paul W. Sobczak of Apopka, FL two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James M. Sobczak, three brothers, and three sisters. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens of Apopka, FL.
