Obituary of Betty A. Johnson

Smethport - Betty A. Johnson, 89, of Smethport, died peacefully, Friday (January 1, 2021).

 

She was born in Renovo, PA, a daughter of Earl P. and Ida  M. Norberg Hoffower.  She lived and went to school in Emporium, PA, where she met and married Albert H. Johnson in 1951. They enjoyed 44 years together, until his passing in 1995.

 

Betty spent her working years as a bookeeper in Alexandria, VA.

 

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

 

Betty and Albert were the parents of two children:  Karl Johnson of Smethport and Kathy (Mark) Davies of Lewisburg, PA

She was the loving grandmother of Carol Susan, Peter (Jessica), Amelia (Doug), Gus, and Kurt (Sara)

Great-grandmother to Ava and Dougie

And also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

In addtion to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, and one daughter-in-law, Carol Johnson.

 

Due to current COVID restrictions, a private graveside service will be held with the family in Crum Cemetery, Cameron County.
