Seth will always have a special place in my heart. As my teacher, he brought me to love the social sciences - especially history and political science. I went on to earn a graduate degree in poli sci and am currently enrolled in a history grad program largely because of his influence. Following my military career, my decision to become a social studies teacher was founded on his example. Memories of the special projects and events in his classroom are as clear for me today as they were half a century ago. I delivered his morning paper for years and enjoyed early morning conversations on the back porch with him and his father. I was most touched when Seth and Lynn attended my military retirement ceremony at the Pentagon 13 years ago. I will miss him and the occasional words of wisdom he would still impart to me on social media. Please know that you have my deepest condolences, and I will keep Seth and his family in my prayers.
