To the family of Fred "Red" Strutt, We would like to send our sincere sympathy. I had the privilege of meeting Red at SRU when my college roommate Michael Strutt and I competed in the track and field program. We would revisit when his grandsons competed in athletics. It was a pleasure to once again talk to him.
Condolences from Richard and Mary Matrunick

Truly saddened by this loss. Red was a great human being. I worked with him for many years at the Courthouse and enjoyed his good humor and overall kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will be missed.

My Condolences to Red's Family on his passing. It was a true honor meeting, working and being a friend of his. We worked side by side for many years thru police depts. He was a GOOD man--honest and stern when needed, a load of laughs. RIP my Friend, gonna miss talking with ya.

To the Family of Red Strutt: I am so sorry about your loss. Red was a great person and a good friend. He was one of the first co-workers I met when I began clerking for Judge Cleland in 1990. He took his duties to protect the Judge and court staff very serious. He also took his love of the Pirates and Steelers serious. Whenever I would mention I was a Bill's fan he would say: "Do you know what State it is you live in Pavlock!" We both enjoyed working outside and I would often ask him for advice on projects. I remember him telling me one day: "I am really in trouble now. Louise caught me working with the chainsaw up behind the house after I told her I wouldn't." He really loved Louise. Your Mom and Dad watched our boys when they were younger - made them Sundays with chocolate syrup. They were both very kind to our family. Red was one of a kind in a very good sense. I am really going to miss him. I hope it helps all of you, in your time of sorrow, to know how I and many of us at the courthouse greatly respected Red and how much we appreciated having him as a friend. Judge John Pavlock
