Obituary of Nelson Alvin Russell

Bradford - Nelson Alvin Russell, 87, of Bradford, died Wednesday (May 10, 2011) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford. He was born Jan 25, 1924 in Coudersport, a son of Albert and Flora Quimby Russell; On Feb. 10, 1951 he married Norma June Austin, who survives. Mr. Russell was a Coudersport High School graduate and attended Penn State University. Mr. Russell worked as a book keeper for the Bradford Era for 54 years Mr. Russell enjoyed bowling, throwing horseshoes and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by One daughter: Robin (Don) Coman of Annapolis, MD Two sons: Barry (Olga) Russell of Churchton, MD, Gary Russell of Smethport, PA One brother: Robert (Virginia) Russell of Port Allegany, PA 6 grandchildren Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his parents' two brothers and one sister Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA. Where funeral and committal service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jay Tennies, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery, Farmers Valley.
