When Frank married my sister, I could tell he was a character to say the least. He loved to tease and he loved construction. When we'd go to leave from a visit, he'd say, "Annie, I am not going to hug you." And he never did. No problem. One New years Day 1998, Frank said to me, "Annie, I'm gonna build you an ADD-ition." Our little cottage style house was way too small for us and I had complained and prayed about that for years. Then out of the blue, Frank makes this announcement. I was floored. Starting about June 1998, Frank came from Smethport to Port Allegany almost everyday to keep his promise and he worked on it until it was completed in October. Frank never took a dime from us, we just bought the materials. We wanted to say "Thank You" in a special way, and on his brother, Ken's advice, we got him a hunting rifle-left handed, as he shot L. handed. Frank was so surprised and pleased, he actually hugged me - and Walter too! I got the picture to prove it. Anytime he gave Walter some deer sausage, Frank would say, "Annie this is NOT for you." Sometimes he'd write on the package - "Not for Annie." But it was all in good fun. I ate it anyhow. The memories are too numerous to mention here, but Frank, we love you and will miss you so much. You're one of a kind. And I understand that one day, we'll meet again in Heaven and by golly, you WILL hug me again. I will get the last word on that. But for now, Rest In Peace dear brother-in-law.
