Obituary of Franklin C. Teats

Smethport - Franklin C. Teats, 66, of Smethport, died Monday (June 20, 2011) in the UPMC-Hamot of Erie, PA. He was born Sept. 7, 1944 in Bradford, a son of Raymond Franklin and Dorothy Faye Bryant Teats. On August 25, 1994, in Smethport, PA, he married Melinda L. Kisko, who survives. Mr. Teats was a 1962 graduate of Bradford High School and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He was employed by the McKean County Housing Authority in the maintenance department for over 20 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Kerrie L. (Brad Baker) Teats of Bradford, PA, Lucille K. (Brad Himes) Timblin of Hazelhurst, PA, Georgeann M. (Matt McCool) Timblin of Bradford, PA two sons: Raymond (Kristene) F. Teats of Benson, NC, James M. Silvis of Smethport, PA 12 Grandchildren: R.J., Brett, Shaina, Ty, LaDawn, Jacob, Mackenna, Emilie, Evan, Katelyn, Hannah, and Cami Sue. one sister: Carol Nicastro of Bradford, PA two brothers: Kenneth Teats of Warren, PA, and David Teats of Pittsburgh, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son, Samuel M. Silvis. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. Funeral and committal services will begin at 4 PM Thursday, in the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, with Pastor B.J.
