Dear Peg, Estella, and Jerry,
I am so sorry to read about Carolyn. I had been planning on going to Port to visit with her, but kept putting it off. Now I find I have put it off too long. Of course, I didn't know she was in Smethport, as last I heard from her was a Christmas card.
I remember spending a lot of time at your house on Main St. while growing up. Carolyn and I setting on the back steps eating rhubarb. Your mother in the front room sewing. Then your dad making the upstairs into an apartment.
I want to extend my deepest Sympathy.
